Issue #1: In a future Gotham City, the original Batman has been missing for years and the city is under the control of the tyrannical Magistrate organization. Tim Fox, the estranged son of Lucius Fox, has taken up the mantle of Batman and is on the run from the Magistrate. He teams up with a former member of the GCPD, Nakano, and a new Batgirl, Cassandra Cain, to stop a dangerous new drug from hitting the streets.
Issue #2: The Magistrate continues their hunt for Batman, forcing Tim, Nakano, and Cassandra to fight their way through the city to escape. Meanwhile, Tim struggles with the weight of the Batman legacy and confronts his family's complicated history with the Wayne family.
Issue #3: Batman and Batgirl team up to stop a group of villains from stealing a prototype weapon that could tip the balance of power in Gotham. But as they investigate, they discover a shocking connection to Tim's past and the Magistrate's plans for the city.

Issue #37: In "Batman Beyond Neo Year Part 1," Terry McGinnis, the current Batman of Gotham City in the future, is called to investigate a strange phenomenon that is causing buildings to crumble in the city. Meanwhile, the villainous Blight makes his return and sets his sights on taking down Batman once and for all.
Issue #38: In "Batman Beyond Neo Year Part 2," Terry is faced with a dangerous new foe named the Splitt, who has the ability to split into two separate beings. Meanwhile, Blight continues his plan to destroy Batman, and Bruce Wayne faces a health crisis.
